What do we provide
1. Free Use of CalJOBS and Labor Market Information
Do you need assistance with your job search or state benefit in CalJOBS? A registration process will be required, however, you can ask for our assistance.
2. Job Search Skills Training
We can train you how to do your job search online. We bring the best practice for you on how to research employment opportunities.
3. Resume Development
Do you need to create a resume or develop a professional resume? Please contact us.
4. Interview Preparation
Are you feeling nervous for your job interview soon? We can practice together to prepare for your interview.
5. Job Placement
We can help you seek a job that is readily available. We bring your opportunities to learn from us how to find a job.
6. Job Search Counseling
Not sure about your job search, work position, or job application? We are here to provide some advice for you.
7. Document Translations
Are you struggling to understand your work letter from your employer? You can show it to us and we will provide document translations (web, email, paperwork).
8. State Benefits Information
Did you lose your job? Or do you need to request for Paid Family Leave (PFL) to care for your family member? If you need state benefit information, please contact us for general questions.

DCARA Employment Services Department (ES) provides service to the 4 following counties in Northern California which is funded by the Employment Development Department (EDD).
However, the DCARA Employment Services also collaborates with DCARA’s Community Empowerment Services Department (CES) funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS), we also support the rest of the 10 counties regarding employment.

Referral Process

New Client Registration
1. FIRST PROCESS: Contact DCARA.

2. Sign the Intake forms for DCARA (If you need assistance, please contact us).
3. SECOND PROCESS: Meet with your Employment Specialist.
4. Sign the Employment Services agreement form.
5. Register your CalJOBS account for EDD and post a resume in CalJOBS.

Return Client Registration
1. FIRST PROCESS: Contact DCARA or your Employment Specialist.

4. Sign the Employment Services agreement form again if it is expired.
5. Review your CalJOBS account and re-post your resume if it is expired.

What to bring to your first meeting
1. Bring Rights to work documents to verify Driver’s license/ or California ID and SSN card plus US Permanent Resident (Green) Card and Immigrant Visas.
