I want to take an opportunity to discuss REAL ID from a previous vlog. Remember this?

I will guide you through how to apply for a REAL ID on DMV online.

First, you need to login in or create an account to fill out your information.

When you are ready to fill out your information on application online, please make sure to choose one of the four options.

If you have vehicle, choose driver’s license. If you don’t have a vehicle, choose ID card.

Fill out information of your driver’s license or ID card.

After that, fill out your personal information and SSN.

Second, review the REAL ID Checklist and mark which document you will use as your proof of identity.

 

I will show you a short video clip on a few required documents that you will need to upload. Identity Document. Two Residency Documents. For example, you can use an electric bill, bank statement, or others. (pointing over his shoulder)

After you make an appointment. What to expect at your appointment? I will share five expectations.

1. Bring a copy of the document you uploaded to the portal with you. Both copies must match.
2. DMV will review and verify your documents.
3. You will have a new photo taken.
4. You will need to pay fees.
5. When everything is approved, REAL ID will be mailed to your home in about two weeks.
