CALIFORNIA CORONAVIRUS RELIEF PACKAGE

Did you know that California has its own “Stimulus” payment for CA residents?! What does this mean for everyone?

On February 23rd, 2021 California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a $7.6 billion Coronavirus Relief Package. People who have SSN already received federal stimulus. Now, many people who don’t have SSN have been left behind, don’t worry because help is on the way. Governor Newsom signed this bill because our legislators don’t want to leave Californians behind.

Important step that you will need to do first is to complete the California State Tax for 2020. Listed below are those who will be eligible to receive the stimulus payment.

Let us break it down for you. First off, who is eligible for this payment?
• Low-Income Workers (Earned Income under $30,000 a year)
• Undocumented Workers
• CalWORKS Recipients (Enrolled in CalWORKS)
• Blind, Elderly and Disabled Persons (Enrolled in Social Security Income/State Supplementary Payment or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI)

Households will receive a one time payment of $600.

Workers earning under $30,000 will receive a second payment of $600; Workers earning between $30,000 and $75,000, you may receive a one time payment of $600.

You will receive a one time grant payment of $600 by mid-April.

You will receive a one time grant payment of $600.

If you fall under the categories of Low-Income Workers and Undocumented workers, you will be able to get both funds $600 which bring total of $1,200.

The state will issue stimulus payment-this is a one time thing after eligible 2020 tax returns are processed.

Direct deposits: Allow up to 45 days
Paper checks: Allow up to 60 days
Payments are expected to begin in March 2021.
