Stimulus Card Scam or Not?
The IRS sent out millions of Economic Impact Payment (EIP) cards to taxpayers who filed taxes previously.
If you received a card for the first stimulus payment, it will NOT be reused for this new stimulus payment. You will receive a NEW EIP card.
[Signer point at the screen to look at photo of letter]
Your EIP card will arrive in a white envelope from “Economic Impact Payment Card” from Omaha, NE. DO NOT throw it away thinking it’s junk mail or a scam!!! This card is real and it has money loaded on the card! The card will look like this.

[Slide shows a picture of real EIP Card]
The Visa name will appear on the front of the EIP card; the back of the card has the name of the issuing bank, MetaBank, N.A. This round, the envelope will also have the Treasury seal to prevent people from throwing it away.
