NEWS FLASH
Starting Saturday, December 12 at 12:01 a.m. Sonoma County will enforce the restrictions of the Regional Stay at Home Order initiated by the state. The new restrictions will remain in place until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.
Due to rising COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations, residents are directed to stay at home except for work, shopping or other essential activities, such as medical appointments, allowed by the State’s Regional Stay at Home Order.
All non-essential businesses other than retail stores must be closed
Shopping malls will be allowed to continue at 20 percent capacity, while grocery stores will allow 35 percent capacity
Schools that have received waivers will be allowed to continue operations
Places of worship will still be permitted to hold outdoor services
Restaurants are allowed to offer take-out, pick up, or delivery only
Hotels, vacation rentals and other lodging will only be allowed to offer accommodations for guests for essential work or for COVID-19 mitigation and containment measures
Outdoor gyms and recreation will be allowed
What’s NEW: State stay-at-home order has modified restrictions for playgrounds, applicable for all regions. Playgrounds may remain open to facilitate physically distanced personal health and wellness through outdoor exercise.
The following operations will be required to cease both indoor and outdoor services:
Hair salons and barbershops
Personal care services
Movie theaters (except for drive-in theaters)
Wineries, bars, breweries and distilleries (except for operations related to production, manufacturing, distribution and retail sales for off-site consumption)
Family entertainment centers
Museums, zoos, and aquariums
Live audience sports
Amusement parks
Additionally, overnight stays at campgrounds will not be permitted.
Private gatherings of any size are prohibited. The City of Santa Rosa urges residents to plan on celebrating the holidays at home, with their households. You are required to continue 100% masking, washing hands/sanitizing, and physical distancing from members of other households.
Be safe.
