BREAKING NEWS – Excessive Heat Warning: Fairfield

[START MESSAGE]

There is an Excessive Heat Warning in effect from noon on Monday May 31st until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1st.

WHAT: Hot conditions with afternoon highs in the upper 90s to 105 degrees.
WHERE: Fairfield area, the Delta region, Northern San Joaquin Valley, and adjacent foothills.

Hottest afternoons are forecast for Memorial Day (Monday) and Tuesday. Prepare for excessive heat.

IMPACTS:
Prolonged exposure to heat can cause heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Most vulnerable are children, elderly, and those without air conditioning or chronic ailments.
