Vaccination Supersite in Oakland
California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) announced last week that there will be a supersite for vaccinations in Oakland at the Coliseum starting last Tuesday, Feb 16 and will last for 8 weeks.
There will be a Sign Language Interpreter available at the vaccination supersite every day for 8 weeks.
It is VERY important that you register before you go. There are specific limits as to who can get vaccinated right now.
You may ask yourself, am I eligible for the vaccination?
Right now, only healthcare workers, long-term care and skilled nursing home residents, individuals 65 and older, as well as education and childcare workers, emergency services workers and food and agricultural workers.
If you are one of the above, you can proceed to make an appointment. How do you do that?
You can either make an appointment by going online at myturn.ca.gov (you can click on the link in the transcription) or by calling the state’s toll-free hotline at 1-833-422-4255 through VP. Help is available in other languages as well.
Please note that the appointment availability is limited to what is available in the system.
The supersite will be open from 9 am to 7 pm everyday, 7 days a week.
Again, please register for an appointment before you go!
