A few days ago many cities and counties in the Bay Area and Northern California, set their own curfews.
What is Curfew? Curfew means an order or law that requires people to be indoors after a certain time at night; set by state and local governments. If people “break” curfew, police can charge them with arrests and/or fines.
Curfews were set by many cities and counties across the nation because of many, many people out on the streets protesting for racial injustice and some led to rioting and looting the local businesses. Police couldn’t identify who were the protesters or looters so that’s why curfews were enacted.
As of today, some cities are now starting to lift those curfews as of Thursday morning, June 4th. Some cities say they will reevaluate the need for curfews after Thursday night. Please double-check with your city for any changes to curfews.
