[START OF MESSAGE]

Humboldt County is offering free testing for COVID-19 at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka in partnership with OptumServe, a federal health services business.

Priority is given to people who are:
– high risk because of their age (65 and older) or have chronic conditions
– health care workers, first responders, and other social service workers
– frontline workers in essential services such as utility workers, grocery store staff, food supply workers and other employees who work directly with the public

All individuals are allowed to be tested, regardless if you have medical insurance coverage or not.

The testing location is not a drive-thru testing site. You will need to get out of your car to get tested. You must wear an appropriate face-covering upon entering the facility.

Redwood Acres Fairgrounds is located at 3750 Harris St. in Eureka. People are instructed to park in the lot across the street from the fairgrounds and enter through the main entrance.

An appointment is required to be tested:

Go online at: https://lhi.care/covidtesting, or call 1-888-634-1123 if you have no internet access.

Remember, if you have coronavirus symptoms you should still contact your medical providers to seek treatment and testing.
